When the wire saw is cutting, it must be cooled, otherwise the beads will be burned, and in serious cases the entire diamond beaded wire saw will be scrapped. Tap water can be used for cooling. The best amount of cooling water is: the amount of cooling water at the outlet of the diamond beaded wire saw is 1.5 to 2 times the diameter of the diamond beaded wire saw. The specific operation can be adjusted according to the noise of the wire saw during cutting and the turbidity of the cooling water. The more cooling water, the better. Too much cooling water can easily affect the self-sharpening of the diamond bead wire saw and make the wire saw slip. Too little cooling water can easily cause the beads to heat up, affecting the cutting life of the wire saw.

Due to the unevenness of the block material, it is easy to cause the stress concentration of the diamond beaded wire saw to break when starting the wire saw cutting, and affect the surface accuracy of the stone. Therefore, every time you start cutting a piece of block material, you should reduce the feed rate by 20 to 30% until the diamond beaded wire saw completely enters the block material, and then resume the normal feed rate.
